Tomorrow, after many months of painstaking porting, the retro, Tron inspired RTS Multiwinia by Introversion, will be released for Mac by Ambrosia.
I was supposed to receive the final candidate of Multiwinia a few weeks ago, but sadly the internet conspired against me and ate the email with the download details. Although that email was devoured, a kind renegade Multwinian delivered the message today and I was able to download and play thirty solid minutes of Multiwinia for Mac. Hooray!

John Champlin from Ambrosia let me know that Aquaria, the hand-drawn underwater side scroller from Bit Blot, has reached Final Candidate for Mac.
Aquaria has been in development for the Mac for quite some time and although I’d liked to have seen the release a bit sooner, it’s a testament to Ambrosia that they wouldn’t let me see it before every bug and wrinkle had been ironed out. Bit Blot, the original developers of the game for PC, also made some changes for the Mac version - namely making artwork fit onto the widescreen monitors that most Mac users have.

Super. Monkey. Ball. If those three words without punctuation don’t get you frothing at the mouth, go strap a monkey in a glass ball and throw it down a racetrack. Really.
Super Monkey Ball, the monkey in a ball simulator, that features a monkey in an indestructible ball, that I presume is super (hence Super Monkey Ball), is now available for the iPhone. In only thirty days Super Monkey Ball has sold over 300,000 copies. That is a lot of monkeying around with balls. Hell, with super balls! Har har.
I’ve been playing around with my monkey in a ball on my iPhone, graciously provided by 02. Using the acceleromator built in to the iPhone, you control a range of pixellated chimps on racetracks by tilting the device. The aim: nab those pesky bananas and don’t fall off the track. You’re up against a clock, so don’t dilly dally. Race. Nab. Then get shot into the sky at 266 mph (fact) for the next level.
