WoW & EVE writers wanted!

Do DING and a 0.0 mean something to you?

They do? Marvellous!

Here’s the deal: I want two writers to cover World of Warcraft and EVE Online. I tried covering EVE Online myself, but this mother needs time and thought invested in it. I have neither. World of Warcraft…well, that boat sailed long ago. The brave knight Brice tried to cover it too but discovered he was on the same boat as me, and that boat was sailing away from Azeroth. WoW and EVE — in my eyes — are wonders of the gaming age. They defy review or summation, but bugger if we aren’t going to give it a shot!

As World of Warcraft and EVE Online are spectacular oddities, each with the ability to ruin relationships, create body odour and dissolve jobs, I’d prefer writers who have been exposed to them. (Not a late-night-at-the-park exposure, but an in-game competence.) Ideally you’ll have played frequently and have some intriguing thoughts about them. This isn’t for the player who wants to get into orcs or space pirates, sorry. Seasoned players only!

Ideally I’d like the two titles covered bi-monthly (or more frequently). Style and content is largely up to you. You can write in character, you could seek interviews with in-game characters, developers, game addiction clinics, etc. The format, again, is up to you. We’re an easy lot.

There’s no pay at the moment, but this is something I’m looking into. If you’re successful you’ll have an account for either WoW or EVE for as long as you write for us.

One last thing: please only apply if you have time to spend playing, thinking and writing up your experiences.
