Anti Spore: Resisting EA’s War on Creationism

The Anti Spore website that received a lot of press appears to be a fake:

AK47 first project gives an excellent example of Poe’s Law and how it feels to be Rick Roll’d to a mass of people with: Antispore.com.

This project only spanned a few days, but the impact is still being felt as thousands of people make angry posts with no idea they have been Rick Roll’d

All this and more at the AK47 Project.

I initially contacted the author of Anti Spore for an interview as I found it fascinating that Spore could spark such debate. Alas, the site appears to be a fake.

I wonder, what’s more interesting: the fact that people respond with hate when someone presents such a different and fundamental view or the fact that people wish to create a scenario to prove a law?

Maybe I’m missing the point of this ‘social experiment’. But frankly, I think penis monsters are more interesting.

Hey at least give us some credit for not abusing the journalists, our interview requests ranged from small websites to major print publications. We are ‘evil’ (in the eyes of some) but not that evil, maybe.

No, it’s your right and your choice to do so.

I’m just not sure what’s been accomplished.
